About Celia Shahnaz

Celia Shahnaz, SMIEEE, Fellow IEB, is a Professor at the Department of EEE, BUET, Bangladesh, since 2015. She received her Ph.D. from Concordia University, Canada, and is a recipient of the Canadian Common Scholarship and the Bangladesh Academy of Science Gold Medal. She has been elected as a Fellow of The World Academy of Science (TWAS) and inducted into IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu. She is the 2023-2024 IEEE WIE Committee Chair and has been selected as the 2025 IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor. With over 24 years of experience, she has led impactful projects in technical, professional, educational, and humanitarian fields.
